Jordan Szoke (Kawasaki) ended his 2011 Canadian Superbike Championship by winning the last event of the season at Mosport International Raceway on Sunday but Brett McCormick (BMW) clinched his first ever title.
Szoke’s win combined with a second place finish on Saturday put him second in the final Canadian Superbike Championship standings and just 10 points shy of first. It was his 10th career win at Mosport and his sixth in the past eight races at the track.
Szoke finished the 2011 season with a win, five second place finishes and one third from the seven Canadian Superbike Championship by Parts Canada events.
Meanwhile, Brett McCormick, who also celebrated his 20th birthday, secured his first national title by claiming his sixth win of the season on Saturday.
