BMW S1000RR: 200 hp, 300 km/h, $17,300. Any questions?

The newest two-wheel offering from the Bavarian manufacturer is a major hit on the market, with the searing performance that comes from 200 hp at speed – enough to tempt adventurous car people across the line and try two wheels to generate their jollies.

Safety? Yes - from electronics
The S word may sound odd in this context, but the new bike is undoubtedly the safest of all two-wheeler on the market. The standard-equipment advanced ABS and dynamic traction control system (DTC) can turn your everyday rider into a near-expert by removing the threat of loss of traction at the rear wheel when you let her rip coming out of corners.

This means you can enjoy the bike’s performance on Track days, or your favourite twisty road in the real world of holes, sand and diesel droppings.
