BMW Concept C - The scooter of the future made by BMW Motorrad

Recent years have seen radical changes in the world of individual mobility, as the number of scooter registrations has grown exponentially all over the world in the past few years.

BMW Motorrad will be expanding its present motorcycle adventure world to include the scooter. This new product segment will first give rise to two innovative premium BMW scooters with a purpose built two-cylinder internal combustion engines and CVT transmission. The differing characteristics of this concept will appeal to a broad target group. In addition, some thought is being given to a future alternative drive with electric motor.

Ed. Note: Rumours have abounded in the past year about a return by BMW to the scooter market, after an initial C1 in the early 2000s and an electric C1-E concept machine in 2009.
