Ariel Motors moves to motorbikes

Because cars aren't fast enough for the engineers at Ariel Atom, they'll be moving into the realm of superbike production in 2012.

Their first creation will be a bespoke two-wheeled superbike inspired by their four-wheeled Ariel Atom sportscar. Estimated pricing will be in the £20,000 range. Honda, who already supplies engines for the Atom, are rumoured to be providing the engine for the superbike as well – though which one it will be is still unknown.

Ariel hope to produce between 100 and 200 bikes per year. Each bike would be hand-built making the models unique and that much more incredible. If you thought the Ariel Atom was fast, wait.

We're expecting Clarkson's face to completely disintegrate on this one.
