Can-Am has issued a second recall in two weeks, this time due to a problem with the steering column on 1,250 Commander side-by-side vehicles.
Apparently, the lower splines at the steering column to rack and pinion joint may not be sufficiently engaged and could fail, causing a loss of steering and potentially leading to a crash.
Can-Am dealers will therefore inspect spline engagement and replace the steering wheel shaft or steering column if necessary.
