XAVI'S VALENCIA OUTING
Alstare Corona rider Xavi Simeon took advantage of almost perfect  conditions, at Valencia today, to get his leg over a motorcycle for  the first time this year. Today was just a shakedown, as a new 600 is  on the way,  and Xavi put in 38 laps in preparation for tomorrow. But,  he was able to test the new Pirelli Diablo Corsa tyres and that in   itself was a good reason for today's outing.

Although I was on last year's bike today, it was good to get back  into the saddle and be riding again. I did however test the new   Diablo Corsa tyres and they are quite an improvement because with  them you can go faster, longer. Hopefully I will have a 2006 bike   tomorrow - very standard indeed - and I will be able to see what the  differences are between them.
