The countdown has begun; we’re less than a month away from the annual summit meeting of sliding, the Supermoto X Fest presented on August 7 and 8 at the Mécaglisse complex.

With rounds of both the “Eastern North America and Canada” (ENAC) Supermoto and Canadian Supermoto championships, this thrilling annual event has carved out a place for itself among the major extreme motorsports events in Quebec.

In Supermoto, Maxime Sylvestre, multiple Canadian champion and 2009 ENAC champion, will be defending his title at the Supermoto X Fest. He’ll have some serious competition from Jesse Morgan, leader of the 2010 ENAC series, Dave Arnold, Paul J. Rouillard, Yves Couture-Lagacé and Mick Martel, among others.

As for Superquad, the Quad Pro KTM team had dominated last year, with Christopher Bélisle and Cédric Leclair. They are back this year, along with Mathieu Robitaille, also with KTM now and a man to watch, in addition to many-time Canadian ATV champion and TT expert Sylvain Arsenault.

And that’s not all! Test rides will be available on motorcycle and side-by-side vehicles, along with a host of other attractions, such as the hotly contested Pit Bikes event on Saturday night.
