The heart and soul of this model goes by the name “Kohler” -- a 1,028cc, 3-cylinder, OHC, high-performance diesel engine with liquid cooling and electronic fuel injection that delivers smooth power and reduced combustion noise. It boasts a compact, heavy-duty design with a cast iron crankcase for durability, and an aluminum cylinder head for weight reduction. Meanwhile, driver’s side access to the large, range-extending 37.9-litre diesel tank makes fill-ups on the job a breeze. And maintenance has never been easier: To check and fill engine oil, just raise the cargo box.

Of course, diesel engines are not known for their horsepower, and this one is no exception at 24.
