by Richard Roch , moto123.com

The 2014 Kawasaki 4010 Trans 4x4 is a highly versatile and flexible side-by-side vehicle. With two- and four-passenger capability, and available steel doors and removable top, this workhorse will handle any job you have planned for it.

Industrial-grade SxS
For 2014, Kawasaki's 4010 Trans 4x4 can transform from a four-seat model to a two-seat model with minimum tools. Payload capacity increases from 181 to 363 kg in the process. Towing capacity is rated at 544 kg regardless of the configuration.

Driving the 2014 Kawasaki 4010 Trans 4x4 is a 617cc, four-stroke, OHV, 90-degree V-twin engine with liquid cooling and a Mikuni AC34 fuel-injection system. It produces 20 hp at 3,600 rpm and 35 lb-ft of torque at 2,500 rpm through a CVT. Reverse, a limited-slip front differential, and selectable 2WD/4WD are part of the mix.

Features on 2014 Kawasaki 4010 Trans 4x4
A large-capacity radiator keeps the engine running at a normal temperature even in summer heat. Said engine benefits from rubber mounts that eliminate noise, harshness, and vibrations to improve comfort.

Inside the cabin of the 2014 Kawasaki 4010 Trans 4x4 is an easy-to-read dashboard with digital gauges. That's also where you'll find the horn, thus preventing accidental activation when manipulating the sporty steering wheel. For extra convenience, the vehicle offers high-grade electric power steering.

Technology for a job well done
The 2014 Kawasaki 4010 Trans 4x4 features an air-cooled torque converter for greater durability, low-range gearing when tackling tight, rough trails, and a dual-mode rear differential that provides maximum traction when locked and minimized ground disturbance when unlocked. The meaty 23” tires also help.

The independent MacPherson strut-type front suspension teams up with beefier springs for a more stable ride and steadier ground clearance. In the rear, leaf springs make sure the 2014 Kawasaki 4010 Trans 4x4 can haul fairly heavy loads while maintaining ride quality.

Braking is covered by four sealed, hydraulic drum brakes. As for maintenance, simplicity is the operative word: The oil gauge can be found under the seat, and the air filter will tell you when to replace it.

All in all, the 2014 Kawasaki 4010 Trans 4x4 is one smart and versatile side-by-side vehicle.
