Billed as a sporty side-by-side utility that competes with the Polaris RZR 570 and the Arctic Cat Prowler 550 XT, the 2012 CFMOTO Snyper 600EFI promises a high level of features at a competitive price, along with a five-year warranty.

The Snyper is equipped with a 594cc, four-stroke, four-valve single-cylinder engine. Boasting electronic fuel injection, it develops 38 hp and 35 lb-ft of torque. Using a continuously variable automatic gearbox with high and low ranges, the Snyper can be engaged in two-wheel or four-wheel drive.

Weighing in at 992 lbs, the 2012 CFMOTO Snyper 600EFI is about as heavy as the RZR and lighter than the Prowler 550 XT. However, towing capacity is rated at 500 lbs, much less than with the Polaris and the Arctic Cat, both rated at 1,500 lbs.

The Snyper also features 14” wheels with 26-inch wide tires, double wishbone front and rear suspension with ELKA brand shock absorbers and dual 220-mm discs front and rear. Turn signals, a horn and side view mirrors are nice-to-have items as well.

Convenience features include a 12-volt power outlet, four-point safety belts, a 3,000-lb winch, an adjustable steering column and a fuel tank lock. A hard roof, a Lexan windshield and skid plates are available at the dealer.

Offered in four colours (blue, red, silver and white), the 2012 CFMOTO Snyper 600EFI is sold in Canada at an MSRP of $10,895.
