2011 Parts Canada Superbike Championship kicks off this weekend at ICAR

5-25-2011

by moto123.com

Don't miss the top Canadian riders in action at Circuit ICAR from May 27 to 29, 2011. This year's Parts Canada Superbike Championship (CSBK) promises to be one of the most entertaining ever with the likes of Jordan Szoke (defending champion), Jodi Christie, Alex Welsh, Michael Ferreira, Louie Raffa and the return of Brett McCormick (runner-up in 2009).

Spectators will witness the debut of the all-new XR 1200 Cup featuring 16 riders, including veterans Steve Crevier and Darren James along with young wolves like Cody Matechuk and Steven Nickerson. Based on the American series, the XR 1200 Cup stars a near-production version of the XR 1200X, Harley-Davidson's sportiest bike ever.

ICAR and CSBK want to make the experience memorable. Fans will have access to the paddocks and get the opportunity to see the racers and crews from up close. Consider:
  • Five different motorcycle racing series, including Pro Sport Bike, Amateur Sport Bike, CBR125R Challenge, XR 1200 Cup and Superbike;
  • Stunt show presented by STUNT.ca (Saturday and Sunday);
  • Three days of practice, qualifying and racing, with the finals on Sunday;
  • Safe, quickly-accessible parking spaces for motorcycles;
  • Tickets starting at $25 (weekend package available);
  • Access to karting track.
