Five years and 18,000 bikes after the introduction of the Rocket III family, Triumph just announced the restyled and much upgraded Rocket III Roadster. This is clearly a streetfighter, featuring mid-mounted pegs and blacked out components.
The Full Monte - More Torque and Power, Better Brakes and Ergos
The Roadster features improved ignition and fuel injection software, new cam profiles, stronger clutch and transmission as part of an update to the drivetrain.
The bigger news for streetfighter fans is certainly the 14% increase in torque, to 163 ft-lbs. at 3,250rpm, and the 6hp rise in power, to 146 at 5,750rpm.
As part of the model’s ongoing improvements, the revised rear suspension has been softened by 20% from the original Rocket III, for a more compliant and comfortable ride over urban bumps.
Ergonomics also fit the fighter image, with a new, 12mm higher and more comfortable seat, mid mounted foot pegs, and a new dash that features a clock, fuel gauge, and gear indicator, in addition to the speedometer and tachometer.
Cosmetically, the Rocket III Roadster has been given an aggressive blacked-out appearance.
And to get you to spend a little more and personalize your ride, Triumph has developed a range of over 50 accessories especially tailored to the Rocket III Roadster.
No news yet from Triumph regarding availability or pricing in Canada.
