What’s more, the xc uses stiffer Kayaba HPG shocks that feature multiple adjustments: spring preload, rebound, and high- and low-speed compression. Better read that Owner’s Manual carefully... You can add new tapered handlebars with wind deflectors, an aluminum skid plate, and a new seat cover with more “Stiction” along the sides, and… a new black and yellow graphics set.

Finally, Can-Am added bead-lock rims to prevent tire separation from the rim under hard cornering. Whew!

DS 450 X
In addition to new, race-inspired graphics and better fitting seat cover, the 2010 DS 450 X mx and DS 450 X xc come with the first nerf bars and foot safety nets ever on a production machine. This setup considerably reduces the risks of foot injuries when they slip off the foot pegs, as is often the case when jumping or riding free-style.
