The ATV and motocross national-level racing that took place at
Xtown this past weekend raised the excitement level of participants as well as spectators, despite Mother Nature's efforts to ruin the show!
The top competitors from the Quebec Motocross and Canadian ATV Championships battled one another on one of the best designed and most demanding tracks in the country. And the crowd got to witness the action from up close.

Unfortunately, slippery conditions limited the Ben Milot Land Tour to a few jumps. The aerials were nicely executed and just enough to wet the spectators’ appetites. But the wet surface won the day and that part of the show had to be cancelled.
Overall, nearly 500 riders (that’s right: 500!) from across Canada gave breathtaking displays of talent and fearlessness, launching head first into the funnel-like first corner, attacking triple and quadruple jumps, and making no compromises in banked corners. Pro MX riders like Kaven Benoit, Marc-Antoine Généreux, Simon Homans and Tim Tremblay as well as veteran experts and local favorites
Guy Giroux and Gino Alary put on quite a show during the finals.
XTown’s new layout, which increased the level of difficulty for riders and provided an excellent racing surface over the three-day event, combined with the record number of participants, made the 2010 Xtown Championship weekend a must-see event -- definitely one of the most spectacular in Quebec this season.
See you all in 2011!
