The prestigious English automaker is currently working on an all-new model called RR4. Smaller and more affordable than the
Phantom, this car will still live up to the Rolls-Royce tradition of world-class comfort, luxury and performance.
An all-new powertrain was developed for the RR4, which will be manufactured alongside the
Phantom at the company's
Goodwood plant. The latter will have to be reconfigured in order to produce the new model. Among the upgrades will be the addition of an assembly line as well as the expansion of the paint, wood and leather facilities. An additional work shift will also be necessary starting next year, when production is scheduled to begin.
Rolls-Royce is putting a lot of efforts into making a dynamic vehicle for driving enthusiasts. To emphasize the car's sporty personality, designers chose to incorporate sleeker, more flowing lines.
Interested? Well, start waiting. The market release of the little Rolls-Royce is planned for 2010.
