My frame configuration somehow sticks my head in the wind while riding aboard the Limited, despite having to always look through the windscreen. And worse yet, the air coming over the screen and around it creates an insufferable turbulence around my helmet. The disturbance is not as bad as the Street Glide, but unrideable over any distance for me, and somewhat disconcerting on a $31,000+ bike. I am sure that an accessory windscreen and side screens would fix the problem, but I would expect the bike to feature a more efficient and adjustable windscreen while in movement in the first place.

Elegance personified for lovers of old Porsche and Jaguar dashboards - like me for instance! We are still around, you know! |
And finally, the openings between the leg protectors and the top fairing let in too much cold air on October days, and the stock exhaust system passes on far too much noise to my tender ears.
Worth the money? – Yes if you need the exclusivity and extra torque
This is an eye-of-the-beholder thing. Special H-D models have always been considered toys, but also an investment of sorts with the high resale value that sweetens the high initial price.
The name “Limited” says it all in this case, as the machine starts out as a fully loaded Ultra Classic Electra Glide (MSRP at $26,969), to which are added some exclusive features such as special wheels, paint, trim and accessories – and the bigger motor.
Pay the money and enjoy the status, or stick to the (Much) cheaper base models.
Excellent fit and finish
Great paint job and looks
Smooth and easy to ride
Better suspension, especially on bumps
True to H-D tradition
Useful extra torque and power
Too noisy for this rider
Marginal wind protection in cold weather
Turbulence around the head
