The classic touring-style riding position makes you want to keep on going and going, a little like the Energizer rabbit, under a scorching sun or heavy rain. In the wet, the tires evacuate water effectively to stay well hooked up to the pavement, providing confidence-inspiring traction and stability.

In the mountains, the riding dynamics of the R3 in the corners are reminiscent of the Honda Gold Wing. When riding a little harder, the bike easily maintains its trajectory through a corner, even on rough roads. Having said that, changing that path mid way through a corner does requires some effort on the part of the rider, so much so that quick riding on roads that you do not know become a physical as well as mental exercise - just what some of us maniacs enjoy. More relaxed riders will find the agility and behavior of the bike entirely satisfactory on any kind of road.
Average fuel economy (city and highway) hovers around 8 liters per 100 kilometers... provided you don't exceed the speed limit (130 km/h on the French autoroutes).
Well bredTriumph continues to offer motorcycles that stand out from the crowd, and the 2009 Triumph Rocket III Touring is a wonderful example with its eye-catching looks - something you rarely see these days. This exclusivity, combined with comfort and rider-friendly behavior, mean that the R3 will give you plenty of bang (And enjoyment) for your buck!
