Arctic Cat is now recalling 8,318 ATVs in Canada because a weld securing the front differential cross pin can break, which could cause the front differential and front wheels to lock up.
Depending on vehicle speed at the time this occurs, it could result in a loss of control, cause the ATV to tip over forward, or cause the rider to be thrown from the vehicle.
Arctic Cat dealers will replace the front differential carrier assembly.
Affected models include:
- 400 4X4 AUTOMATIC;
- 500 4X4;
- 400 4X4 AUTOMATIC;
- 650 4X4 AUTOMATIC;
- 700 4X4 DIESEL;
- 700 4X4 EFI AUTOMATIC;
- THUNDERCAT 4X4.
