BMW Group has sold Husqvarna Motorcycles to Pierer Industrie AG from Austria, pending approval by anti-trust authorities. Both companies have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

The German manufacturer is currently realigning its motorcycle business and will focus on urban mobility and e-mobility.

Pierer Industrie AG also owns the KTM brand.
