The Austrian off-road market leader just revealed it has built an all-electric Enduro machine that is currently at the development project stage, with production in the near future being the presumed objective. The elimination of heavy components such as fuel and exhaust systems, clutch and multi ratio gearbox allows the 90 kg machine to perform at a level that "...rival(s) a light Enduro with a combustion engine". Needless to add, this ground-breaking technology is sure to please riders as well as environmentalists and rules makers everywhere. The technology is being developed in conjunction with an Austrian development laboratory as well as the support of the Austrian government, and there are as yet no reports of actual testing by independent riders, nor planned availability or pricing.
