More than 30% of Honda's motorcycle sales will come from India by 2020 according to the president of its Indian operations, Keita Maramatsu.

With a population of 1.2 billion that represents 17% of the planet, India is the fastest-growing emerging market, so it's not hard to believe such a forecast. And pretty soon Honda will become the largest foreign motorcycle maker in this country.

In 2011, North America accounted for only 1.6% of all Honda motorcycles sold across the globe, while Asia had nearly 79% of total sales.
