On August 16th, a San Diego BMW Motorcycles BMW S1000RR piloted by Andy Sills, reached the dizzying speed of 224.190 mph, or 360.8 km/h, thus setting a speed record as the fastest BMW bike ever.

The feat was performed at the mythical Bonneville Salt Flats, in Wendover Utah, during SCTA Speedweek.
