There is a plethora of details that make this car as special as it is. I especially dig the suede inserts on the door cards, the centre-located tachometer, the 3-bay gauge cluster and the thick, short-diameter wheel.

At a loss...
Unlike my counterpart, I am left unmoved by the Z's 332-hp 3.7L V6. Let me rephrase that: The 3.7L's got lots of heart but it no longer has anything special. Let me try again: What happened to the VQ's signature throaty growl? OK, how about this? A new
Ford Mustang gives you 305 hp for less than mid-$20K coin and a
Camaro will send 306 hp your way for 27 large. The US is privy to a 350-hp Nismo version but we can't get it.
The 370Z is fast, able to cross 100 km/h mark in 5.5 seconds. Passing times are also low; essentially, you'll never be lacking for power with the Z. However, I can't wrap my brain around why Nissan would insist on making this car so difficult to drive. Justin states that the clutch is smooth and grabby. My experience yielded a heavy, unpleasant clutch pedal. We both consider shifter the stubby shifter to unrefined and too much work; as he mentions, an RX-8 has a much more progressive and agreeable gear-changing process. Consider this statement as a yardstick: driving a 550-hp supercharged V8 Mustang GT500 is easier and requires less blood-and-guts.
The 40th Anniversary
This special edition of the fabled Z is equipped with all the goodies and I do mean all of them. From a navigation system, bi-xenon headlights, a front strut tower brace, leather, an eight-speaker BOSE audio system and much more. Throw in Nissan sport brakes—4-piston front, 2-piston rear calipers with huge vented discs all-around opposed aluminum calipers with 13.8" x 0.80" vented rear discs, a viscous limited-slip rear differential as well as Bridgestone Potenza high-performance tires and you have a track-ready car with luxury car features.
I don't get it. Maybe I am getting old.
