Introducing SORA, the first Quebec-built electric motorcycle

2-21-2014

by Josée Paquet , moto123.com

The SORA, a fully electric motorcycle designed by LITO Green Motion in Longueuil, Quebec, will make its world debut on February 28th at the 2014 Montreal Motorcycle Show.

It's the first 100% electric bike from La Belle Province, and the world's first motorcycle with a push-button, power-adjustable seat.

The SORA offers a range of 200 kilometres, and can be charged through a conventional household outlet or a dedicated charging station. It uses a 42kW electric motor mated to a CVT, and sprints from 0-100km/h in 4.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 190 km/h.

Carbon fibre fairings wrap the aluminum frame, while the list of features includes a touchscreen with navigation, an automatic energy management system, and a storage compartment where you'll find the charging outlet and a USB port.
