The
2009 edition of the Quebec Snowmobile Show, which took place last weekend at Place Forzani in Laval, can be considered a success despite the event lasting only a single day instead of the usual three.
The Snowmobile Show always proves very popular with enthusiasts and customers alike. Nearly 100 different models were on hand, including 15 all-new machines.
From a business standpoint, industry insiders foresee the 2009-2010 season as being similar to this past one, which would mean a profitable record overall. A slight market growth is expected for sport machines, as well as for utility models designed for riding in deep snow.
According to some manufacturers, the 2009 lineup confirms a growing trend towards so-called "crossover" snowmobiles (for both on-trail and off-trail riding) as well as towards higher-performing machines derived from snocross racing. These sport oriented machines are light and agile, as well as super smooth over bumpy trails.
One thing's for sure: with all these new and exciting products to choose from, the Snowmobile Show again made a lot of folks dream about next winter. Stay connected to Moto123.com throughout the week for details on the four top manufacturers' 2010 portfolio.
