The all-new, 8-passenger 2014 Yamaha AR192 is basically the flagship of the entry-level 19’ segment, providing an unexpected dose of adrenaline in a value-packed jet boat for young families who are into watersports. It competes against the likes of the all-new Scarab 195 we've recently previewed.

Compared to the base AR190, the 2014 Yamaha AR192 stands out with a supercharged variant of the purpose-built, 1,812cc marine engine that's said to deliver smooth performance and great fuel efficiency (it's the only engine in the high-performance, 4-stroke category optimized to run on regular unleaded fuel).

The 155mm, high-pressure jet pump drive system it's mated to is designed with a high-flow intake and dynamic shape to effectively direct water into the pump for better thrust, performance, and hook-up. Making things easier is a thrust directional enhancer that creates more responsive handling as the boat is turned right and left at low speeds.

The 2014 Yamaha AR192 comes with three different RPM settings allowing the driver to easily increase or decrease their no-wake speed to find the optimum setting, plus Yamaha's exclusive Cruise Assist feature which holds the engine at a consistent RPM level to maintain the preferred towing speed (it can be increased eight positions up and eight positions down at pre-set increments).

The compact, low-profile configuration of the engine and jet pump system gives you the roominess of most 21’ boats with plenty of space in the bow area for two adults to stretch comfortably. The 2014 Yamaha AR192 even features a moulded-in anchor locker, which is something you rarely see in a 19’ boat.

You could say the same thing about the comfortable J-shaped seating that's part of Yamaha's award-winning stern lounge area, complete with stylish upholstery and integrated, reclined rear seatbacks. Right behind is a large swim platform that sits close to the water and offers the ideal staging area for watersports or simply relaxing with friends and family during a break in the action.

Oh, and there's plenty of storage, too, including an oversized, in-floor locker for quick access to easily accommodate towables and other watersport gear.



Other 2014 Yamaha AR192 highlights
Separately constructed, the fibreglass hull liner represents a revolution in boat design, and makes the semi-monocoque structure exceptionally strong and rigid. Higher up, the Bimini top uses premium stainless steel construction with Sunbrella material for better durability. Unlike the SX192, the 2014 Yamaha AR192 also has a folding wakeboard tower with black powder coat finish.

Watersport enthusiasts will appreciate the ski tow eye, Hydro turf carpeting, and deep, angled re-boarding ladder. Every 2014 Yamaha AR192 also comes with a 4-speaker Clarion sound system, and of course a painted trailer with brakes and swing-away tongue.

There are no options (other than the usual accessories), so if you're looking to upgrade, you'll have to turn to the 21’ segment beginning with the AR210.
