The 2013 Kymco New Sento 110i, known as “Many” across Asia, proves to be discreet, yet oh-so fun and functional. It also has outstanding balance and agility. I've tested a Canadian prototype, and I must say that it stole my heart.
Classic with a modern twist
The New Sento 110i mixes retro styling with state-of-the-art fit and finish. From the sides, it looks like a classic Vespa, but the Taiwanese manufacturer managed to incorporate some finesse into the equation. Consider the LED centre lights, turn signals and taillights, which not only add a touch of sophistication, but also improve visibility. Available colours include blue, black, bronze, and red.
Friendly ergonomics
The 2013 Kymco New Sento 110i will appeal to beginners and advanced riders alike. The narrow, textured seat, convenient height and generous legroom make for an excellent riding position. The plain-looking instrument panel surprisingly offers all the information you need in a rider-friendly layout. However, I had a bit of a tough time adjusting the mirrors: Just when you think the left one is perfectly angled, the other on the right doesn't let you see nearly as much. On the plus side, the long seat, folding passenger footrests, and capable engine allow occasional two-up riding.

Storage
You'll find some decent space under the seat of the 2013 Kymco New Sento 110i to store a helmet or grocery bags. Meanwhile, the open storage compartment up front can swallow your gloves, wallet and water bottle. There's also a convenient utility hook nearby. Still, the New Sento 110i is one of the most appropriate scooters for running errands and getting to work. When the model hits the market this spring, customers will enjoy a backrest and a rack on which they can mount a cargo case. Take a look at the picture provided by Kymco in our gallery.

Perfect power
The 111.7cc four-stroke engine that powers the 2013 Kymco New Sento 110i produces 9.8 horsepower. Thanks to electronic fuel injection and a smart CVT, this little mill provides confident takeoffs and accelerations. You can reach speeds of 100 km/h, making this scooter a great all-around machine that nicely handles short commutes downtown as well as longer trips on the highway.
The remarkable braking system requires little effort to deliver quick, linear stops. Moreover, the 2013 Kymco New Sento 110i displays great balance and stability, while its nimble feet can get you through heavy traffic with ease. Comfort is part of the mix, too, regardless of road conditions.

Low-price metropolitan hero
With undeniable on-road qualities, clean and sophisticated lines, plus the right amount of power, the 2013 Kymco New Sento 110i is an ideal scooter for large metropolitan areas, especially at just $2,999. Throw in a cargo case, and I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
