2011 Arctic Cat Bearcat Preview

1-25-2011

by Pascal Bastien , moto123.com

The Bearcat 570 is more generously equipped this year, with new removable seat and footrests for the passenger, and electric start. The all-new, top-of-the-line Z1 XT Limited comes with a host of touring-oriented amenities such as a heated rider's seat, a removable third seat, a rear storage bag, a taller windshield, black-painted floorboards, a more comprehensive instrument panel and an engine block heater.

A new track
Every Bearcat model rides on a new one-ply, 154-inch Ripsaw track that's 4-kg lighter than the old two-ply, 156-inch unit despite more aggressive studs. The track also features 2.5-cm shorter rails. Other improvements include a significant loss in rotating weight and a single layer that reduces rolling resistance.

With a utility lineup now offering three Twin Spar-based Bearcat models, serious snowmobile enthusiasts have plenty of options. They will enjoy the ruggedness and effectiveness of a utility machine with the comfortable ergonomics and user-friendliness of a touring sled.
