The big news for 2011 at Arctic Cat is the launch of the all-new HDX 700, a longer, better equipped Prowler
. The other major Arctic Cat product lines also benefit from upgrades in ergonomics, style, equipment and a new continuously variable transmission (CVT).
The 2011 Prowler HDX 700
This new machine features a long-wheelbase chassis (25.4 cm longer than the XT model) for improved comfort and stability over bumps and in corners, not to mention more room for humans. The HDX comfortably seats three adults and hauls up to 454 kg in its transformable cargo box, and you can remove one or more sides of the cargo box to load bulky items or work from one side only. What’s more, the new workhorse can tow up to 680 kg.

The new Electric Power Steering (EPS) and a 5-way height adjustable steering column add to the comfort and ease of use of the new machine.
Focusing on occupant comfort, the Prowler HDX 700 features three well-padded bucket seats complete with headrests, a new, a more comprehensive digital dash and a shift lever placed in the centre of the dash board, to free up extra space for the middle passenger.
The double A-arm, independent suspension provides 25.4 cm of travel and 25.5 cm of ground clearance, and uses air-assisted coil-over shocks for easy pre-load adjustment. A little change in air pressure is all you need to adapt to work or play needs.
Thankfully, the HDX also features a roll cage, seatbelts and passenger handgrips for occupant safety and comfort, and comes with front and rear Class II trailer hitches.
Upgraded 450 H1, 550 H1 and 700 H1 models
On the Quad front, the re-trimmed 450 H1, 550 H1 and 700 H1 solo models benefit from redesigned seats and body panels that provide greater freedom of movement in corners for the driver. What’s more, the new transmission selector switch (2WD/4WD/Diff Lock) is easier to use than older models, allowing the rider to concentrate on the trail ahead.
