The current economic climate doesn’t allow for any revolutionary changes in 2010, and motorcycle manufacturers, such as Honda in this case, have instead concentrated on discretely improving their products.

The TRX models
Family members received tougher baggage carriers and a new, more comfortable seat. What’s more, the suspension of the TRX 4x4s, carefully calibrated in the 2009 models to the delight of users, benefits in 2010 from adjustable pre-load, to better handle varying loads and terrain.

The TRX420PG CTE – the best equipped machine of the lot
The TRX420PG Canadian Trail Edition (CTE) already came equipped in 2009 with a fully independent suspension all around, and a dual-clutch automatic transmission dubbed “Electronic Shift Program (ESP), exclusive to Honda. For this year, Honda has added a variable assistance Electronic Power Steering (EPS) system. This is big, as this model is the first one at Honda to feature this holy trilogy, as useful as it is attractive.

EPS offers many great advantages to the rider. At low speeds, the system provides maximum assistance, for light and user-friendly steering. The level of assistance tapers off as speed goes up, giving the rider greater feedback. EPS also feels and considerably reduces the undesirable kickbacks sent to the handlebars on rough terrain.

New colour schemes
The TRX700XX, TRX450R and 400X remain the most popular models in Honda’s sport ATV lineup. For 2010, they feature new colours and graphics. And you can get your new TRX420FE in traditional red, black or camo.

Honda is improving its ATV lineup for 2010 despite difficult economic conditions, to the delight of trail junkies and Honda believers everywhere.
