Past meets present
Long and close to the ground, the Springer Screamin' Eagle takes you back in time with a storied fork and lines that used to define motorcycles in the 1940s. The "Softail" name refers to the design and styling of the rear suspension featuring a swingarm reminiscent of vintage Harleys.

The parallelogram fork with dual springs and single shock is a key part of this rebellious-looking yet magnificent beast. While this type of motorcycle suspension dates back to the pre-WWII era, Harley-Davidson engineers managed to make enough tweaks and improvements to ensure decent behavior on the road. And despite an overly rudimentary braking system for such a big machine, the Softail Springer handles commendably during emergency braking situations. A precise steering and virtually inexistent body roll also improve riding dynamics.

All Softails have their own unique style. The Springer Screamin' Eagle is no exception and it rolls out of the factory with a slew of irresistible features and accessories. Beyond the extensive chrome cladding, this bike sports a humongous 200-mm rear tire and a Bobtail-type fender. The body-colored, horseshoe-shaped fuel tank features chrome-trimmed external hoses.

Further enhancing the Springer is a performance filter with "110 cubic inches" logo. The aforementioned fuel tank offers a capacity of 18.9 liters and is capped off by the inevitable speedometer and ignition. What's more, the two-tone "ghost flame" paint is a true work of art.
