The WPSA PowerSports Snowmobile Tour has rescheduled the races originally planned for West Yellowstone on March 10-11. The events will be held as part of the Air Force Canterbury Snocross at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minn. on March 2-4. As a result, the Tour will not be making the trip to West Yellowstone this season.

"Due to unforeseen scheduling problems created by warm weather early in the season, we have been forced to combine the West Yellowstone event with our Canterbury race," said PowerSports Entertainment, Inc. CEO Rick Murphy. "This was a tough decision. The city of West Yellowstone hosted a tremendous event last season and it remains an important market for us. The local organizers have been great to work with and we are hoping to return there in the future."

According to Marge Wanner, West Yellowstone Chamber of Commerce Snowmobile Event Coordinator: "West Yellowstone is disappointed the race has been canceled. We have snow and we will still host EXPO the 17th annual West Yellowstone World Snowmobile 2007 with an expanded venue March 15-18. We hope to see the WPSA and National Snowmobile Race Teams return to West Yellowstone in the near future."

The next race for the WPSA PowerSports Snowmobile Tour is the Eastern National, scheduled for Feb. 10-11 at Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, N.Y.
