The WPSA PowerSports ATV Championship Tour will host a Utility Terrain Challenge exhibition race, during the PowerSports ATV Tour Grand Championship Aug. 19-20 at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, N.J. The event will be held the Saturday of the race weekend as part of the PowerSports Tour Grand Championship 2006 season finale.

The new class is open to utility vehicles, such as the Yamaha Rhino, Arctic Cat Prowler, the Polaris Ranger and others. These four-wheel, two-seat utility machines, will compete on the big air QuadMX course, showcasing the machines' horsepower and agility. Rules will allow a host of aftermarket modifications, making these true racing machines.

"We have received feedback from many riders and fans interested in seeing utility vehicles have their own Championship Class in which to compete," said PowerSports Entertainment, Inc. CEO Rick Murphy. "During preliminary tests at previous events this season, we found utility vehicle racing both exciting and competitive. We will pay close attention to the exhibition in New Jersey with the idea of adding this class to next season's Championship lineup."

Supplementary Rules governing the Utility Terrain Challenge event can be downloaded in the Rule Book Updates section of www.PowerSportsTour.com.
