The 2007 WPSA PowerSports ATV Tour Pro Riders' Championships will come down the final race of the year and will be decided at next month's season finale. The event is scheduled for Sept. 15-16 at Field of Dreams in Boswell, Pa. A full points report can be downloaded at PowerSportsTour.com.
SuperQuad Pro 450 With his fourth SuperQuad Pro 450 victory this year last weekend in New Jersey, John Natalie (No. 13 Elka, Maxxis/Honda) padded a points lead he's held since Round 8 of the Tour. Natalie now leads Dustin Wimmer (No. 191 MSR, Pro Taper, Yoshimura/Suzuki) by just 11 points. Wimmer, who has one victory and six additional podiums, leads Chad Wienen (No. 44 Team Rockstar, MSR, Pro Taper, Yoshimura/Suzuki) and Doug Gust (No. 55 Team Rockstar, MSR, Pro Taper, Yoshimura/Suzuki) in a four-quad battle for the title.
Meanwhile, last weekend, Suzuki came to within one point of clinching its second Manufacturers' Championship. A Suzuki quad merely has to take the start in the Pennsylvania final to nab the title.
QuadTerrain Pro Stock Jesse West (No. 888 West Racing/Arctic Cat) continues to hold the point in the QuadTerrain Pro Stock standings. Scott Kilby (No. 207 Warnert Racing/Can-Am) sits second, 15 points back, ahead of Rory Beckman (No. 10 Jack Link's/Arctic Cat). Daryl Rath (No. 67 Jack Link's/Arctic Cat), and Chris Borich (No. 2 Warnert Racing/Can-Am) sit fourth and fifth and are the final two riders still in the hunt for the title.
Can-Am clinched its second consecutive Manufacturers' Championship at last weekend's event. Can-Am has dominated the 2007 season, winning eight out of the nine rounds completed.
