MICHIGAN POWERSPORTS SNOWMOBILE TOUR RACE POSTPONED
source: PowerSports Public Relations Weather conditions in the Gaylord, Michigan area have forced the WPSA PowerSports Snowmobile Tour to postpone this weekend's Polaris Michigan Snocross at Otsego Club. A make-up date for the event will be announced in the near future.
"Recent weather, which includes warm temperatures and rain, thwarted our ability to put on the world-class event our fans and racers have come to expect," said PowerSports Entertainment, Inc. Executive Vice President of Operations Kent Lungstrom. "The snowmaking crew and track builders at the Otsego Club did all they could to pull this off, and they deserve a real pat on the back. Mother Nature just wasn't on our side."
"Rain and warm temperatures really sidelined our team's efforts, and we worked to the final hour to try to make this event a reality," said Kris Klay, General Manager of Otsego Club. "We apologize to our fans, but unfortunately, we can control everything but the weather."
All Winter X Games 11 invitations will be determined by the end of this week. Park X of Quadna in Hill City, Minn. will be open all weekend for riders wishing to practice.
