The condition of injured motocross rider Blair Morgan is currently stable. Blair is still in a Montreal hospital following a horrifying fall that happened during the last practice session for the Montreal Supercross on Saturday.

While practicing at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal, Morgan sustained substantial injuries to his middle back.

We spoke today with MX1 race winner Jean-Sébastien Roy, a good friend of Blair.

"I pay a visit to Blair every night," said JSR. "It's been a cold shower to learn this sad news from my team manager on Sunday morning. It was silly accident. Blair' bike went sideways in the air following a jump. He landed very badly."

It was an extremely hard impact. "The L4 and L5 vertebras were crushed. Blair's spinal cord was severed. He has now no feelings whatsoever and is paralysed from the middle back down. Some people say he will never be able to walk again. That's premature. No one knows what can happen. No one's sure at 100%."

Blair Morgan will remain in Montreal for a few more days. "He must stay here in the hospital for another week. He should be back home in Saskatchewan at the end of next week. But for the moment, he doesn't want to see any one."

Well wishes can be sent to Blair at blairmorganrecovery@gmail.com.
