Though rain has dominated the recent forecast for the Stillwater area, the WPSA PowerSports ATV Tour operations staff is busy preparing Cooperland Raceway for this weekend's Southwestern National. source: PowerSportsTourThe event, Round 3 of the 2007 Tour, kicks off on Saturday with a full day of Pro qualifying and Amateur Racing. The event concludes Sunday with Pro finals scheduled for 2:30 p.m. The race will be telecast on ESPN2 on Saturday, July 7 at noon EDT.
"Mother nature has finally rewarded us with sun and breezy conditions which are perfect for drying the track and the pit area," said PowerSports ATV Tour Director Tes Sewell. "We're working diligently on the track today, and we expect to put on a world-class event here this weekend."
This weekend's race, which was slated as a double header, was re-scheduled to run as a single event due to rainy conditions during the last several weeks. A revised schedule of events is available on the Cooperland event page at www.PowerSportsTour.com.
