A couple weeks ago, we had you that Toni Elias was about to return to his former team Gresini Honda in the MotoGP series.

Toni Elias - Team Alice Ducati

Today, it was made official as the privateer announced at Phillip Island that the 25-year-old rider would be back with them in 2009.

The Spaniard, who scored his only MotoGP victory with Honda and Gresini in 2006, will replace Japanese rider Shinya Nakano in the squad.

Elias is riding with team Alice Ducati this season.
