Although Marco Melandri had already announced the deal a while ago, Kawasaki has officially confirmed that the Italian will ride a ZX-RR in MotoGP next season.

Melandri, who is parting with Ducati after a disastrous season, will replace Anthony West, who is currently 18th in the championship standings and last of the full time riders.
