Team Fiat Yamaha MotoGP rider Jorge Lorenzo finished on top during post-Spanish Grand Prix testing at Jerez on Monday.

Lorenzo, the reigning 250cc World Champion was half a second faster than his famed teammate, Italian Valentino Rossi.

Casey Stoner, who had a disastrous weekend, ended up third.

Stoner's teammate Marco Melandri did not have such a good time, as he escaped serious injury in a crash that brought an early end to his day.
