The Ducati team has confirmed that star rider Casey Stoner will return as expected to this weekend's Portuguese Grand Prix. The former champion had missed the last three MotoGP races due to chronic weakness that had affected him a good part of the season. No actual disease had been announced, but tests excluded cardiovascular, respiratory or neurological origins.

Stoner will race at Estoril this weekend, while still under medical supervision.
