The FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) has confirmed in Sepang that tyre maker Bridgestone will be the sole supplier of tyres to the MotoGP world championship for the next three seasons.

This announcement was, of course, not a surprise to anyone as the only other supplier currently in MotoGP, Michelin, announced two weeks ago that they would not be bidding for the contract.
