ROSS MARTIN HITS CANTERBURY JACKPOT, WINS PRO STOCK FINAL

Ross Martin is quick to admit he spent most the 2006-2007 WPSA PowerSports Snowmobile Tour season snake bit. However, Martin's luck officially turned around Friday as he won his second consecutive final on the No. 837 Judnick Motorsports/Polaris during the first round of Pro Stock competition, part of the Air Force Canterbury Snocross.

Coming off a Pro Open victory last weekend in Eagle River, Martin's first since November, Martin continued his charge, dominating the 14-lap event. Blair Morgan (No. 7c Blair Morgan Racing/Ski-Doo) finished second, followed by TJ Gulla (No. 44 Pirtek/Polaris).

"We've struggled a little bit this year," said Martin. "I'm hoping I can just keep on rolling. This definitely helps build momentum for the weekend.

"It seems like if it isn't one thing, it's another this year," added Martin. "We've just had some bad luck in the finals. I switched up a few things that I thought were giving me bad luck, so I think that might be working."

Complete results are available at PowerSportsTour.com.

The Air Force Canterbury Snocross continues tomorrow with both Pro Stock and Pro Open finals, as well as a Pro autograph session at 4 p.m. The event will conclude Sunday with another Pro Open final, an attempt by Paul Thacker to set a world record jump on a snowmobile and a freestyle snowmobile show by Jimmy 'Blaze' Fejes.

Great tickets are still available for the event. Tickets start at just $20 and can be purchased at the gate. The venue features plenty of indoor seating, as well as snowmobile parking. The race will be telecast on SPEED. Please check local listings for dates and times.
