by Flagworld

Levi LaVallee (No. 108 Pirtek/Polaris) brought his Hentges Racing Team yet another victory as he won Sunday's Pro Open final, part of the Air Force Canterbury Snocross. The event was Round 9 of the 2006-2007 WPSA PowerSports Snowmobile Tour schedule.

LaVallee grabbed the holeshot and led every lap of the final. Ross Martin (No. 837 Judnick Motorsports/Polaris) ran in LaVallee's shadow during all 16 laps of the final and finished second, his fourth podium this season. LaVallee's teammate TJ Gulla (No. 44 Pirtek/Polaris) was third.

"I was the only guy on our team who hadn't won this season," said LaVallee of his first victory this season. "I was the odd man out and I had a lot of pressure on me. My teammates were saying: 'C'mon man, get going out there. You're the runt of the litter.' So I'm super pumped.

"The Hentges team just gets these sleds ripping so well," added LaVallee. "Without them, I wouldn't have gotten that holeshot. So I give props to them. This is just awesome. It really gives me a boost for Geneva."

Iain Hayden (No. 93 Blair Morgan Racing/Ski-Doo), while running third, was involved in a tangle three laps into the final. The tie up caused Tour officials to briefly halt the race. Hayden was awake and aware when transported to a local hospital for treatment. An update on his condition will be issued later this week.

Martin currently holds a 45-point lead on Ryan Simons (No. 67 Speedwerx/Arctic Cat) in the Pro Stock point standings. Gulla is no 19 points ahead of Simons in Pro Open points.

Cory Davis (No. 160 Speedwerx/Arctic Cat) on the Semi-Pro Open final, marking his first victory of the season.

Other winners on Sunday were:
Pro Women: Kylie Abrahamson (No. 87 Polaris)
Pro Veteran: Earl Reimer (No. 100 Blair Morgan Racing/Ski-Doo)
120 Champs: Trent Witwer (No. 115 Arctic Cat)
