Quebec Motorcycle Medical Intervention Unit

source: KTM

KTM Canada Inc., in partnership with Enduro KTM, one of the strongest KTM dealership in Quebec, is really proud to announce our association with the Quebec Motorcycle Medical Intervention Unit (UIMMQ) in a unique emergency medical intervention program in Canada.

The UIMMQ is born from retired Canadian Forces Officer Daniel Massé's wish to help others, his passion for motorcycles and his quest for adrenaline rushes provided by specific emergency intervention situations.

UIMMQ is a brand new non profit organization in the country. It is the first time that trained and knowledgeable volunteer health professionals equipped with motorcycles (KTM Adventure models) form an association to provide first response emergency medical procedures and protocols at various mass events in the province of Quebec!

"Our KTM Adventures are equipped with state of the art emergency medical materials. The response to our organization is so good that an eventual integration of UIMMQ into the provincial health network may be considered to reduce critical delays to patients waiting for transportation to hospitals" commented M.Massé.

Because they require quick and easy interventions, on different type of natural or urban terrains (woods, highway etc...), UIMMQ's first responders need very agile, light, comfortable dual-purpose motorcycles. Their choice was naturally guided to the KTM 950/990 Adventure, a standard in the dual-purpose / adventure touring segment.
