In terms of attendance, 2007 was a huge success for MotoGP as the total number of spectators present at each different venue reached a new high even discounting the increase created by running an extra round. Of the 18 races more than 11 had their attendance exceed last year's figures.
More than 2,322,914 attendees were numbered which is an increase of more than 183,501 over 2006's already huge turnout. Brno, in the Czech Republic was the most highly attended Grand Prix of the year with a new record of 245,039 people in the grandstands.
Next year's figures should also be on the up and up since the calendar will include a second American round in Indianapolis in September.
