American rider Nicky Hayden of the Repsol Honda team finished the final day of testing in Jerez, Spain on top of the timing sheet with the fastest time on Monday. Weather conditions were far from ideal since the day started out with damp and cool conditions.

Fiat Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo was second fastest, ending up just four tenths of a second behind Hayden.

JiR Team Scot team's Andrea Dovizioso was third in front of Randy de Puniet on the LCR Honda and Italian Valentino Rossi on the Fiat Yamaha.

Britain's James Toseland managed to set the sixth fastest time in the afternoon despite having a sizeable accident at Turn One earlier in the day, luckily without any serious consequences.

Injured Dani Pedrosa ended up 16th on the timesheets, completing 35 laps. The Spaniard realised that he would have to be patient for its injury to heal completely.
