James Stewart (Yamaha) won his 11th AMA SX race of 2009 in front of more than 40,000 fans, and builds on his lead in the championship. Arch-rival Chad Reed (Suzuki) hangs in there with another second place finish.

Reed got the hole shot in the final, with team mates Davi Millsaps and Stewart right behind. Stewart passed Millsaps quickly and brought the fight to Reed, both of them exchanging the lead until Stewart made a final pass on lap 12 and rode off to victory. Millsaps ended up finished third.

The final race of the season will take place next Saturday in Las Vegas, with Stewart leading Reed by 6 points.
