Last Friday, Polaris Industries broke ground on an expansion of its Product Development Center near Wyoming, Minnesota, which has been pivotal in the company's ascent to the top of the global powersports market since opening in 2005.

It won't be a small expansion: The plan is to add 144,000 square feet to the existing building, more than doubling its size.

This new space will provide larger work bays for off-road vehicles, a new electrical lab, and more conference rooms. A new parking lot for additional employees is projected as well.

All the construction work is scheduled for completion next summer.
