Several rare motorcycles sold at record prices at this year’s Concours d’Elegance in Pebble Beach, which was held on August 14 to 17. Although bids were nowhere near the $40 million for the 1962 Ferrari GTO sold at auction last week, they still set buyers back a few tens of thousands of dollars.
At USD 95,000, the top seller was a 1955 Vincent Series D Black Shadow, which has had only 2 owners in the last 40 years. Meanwhile, a 1915 Indian broad track racer fetched USD 72,000. A mint-condition 1923 Harley Davidson went for USD 65,000 while the winning bid for a 1957 Matchless G80RR was USD 43,000.
